Its platform combines AI-powered assessments, intelligent interviewing, conversational AI, candidate engagement, workflow automation, and skills validation into an end-to-end hiring ecosystem. HireVue says its technology has been informed by more than 70 million interviews and decades of industrial-organizational psychology research.

HireVue’s AI-powered assessments evaluate candidates based on job-relevant skills, competencies, knowledge, and potential. Its assessment suite includes AI-scored interviews, game-based assessments, Virtual Job Tryouts®, technical/coding assessments, language assessments, and Assessment Builder. Assessment Builder can turn a job description into a scientifically validated, job-relevant assessment.

Its Intelligent Interviewing platform combines video interviewing with AI-powered insights. Recruiters can create structured interviews, allow candidates to complete interviews on their own schedules, and use AI-assisted analysis to obtain consistent, data-driven information about candidate responses.

HireVue also provides AI-powered candidate engagement. Its Talent Engagement AI uses generative and agentic AI to understand candidate intent, recommend suitable roles, answer questions, and allow candidates to apply through a conversational experience. Rather than simply matching keywords, the system is designed to understand what candidates are looking for and route them toward relevant opportunities.

The platform’s Virtual Job Tryout® places candidates into realistic job-related scenarios. Candidates can experience situations similar to the actual role while employers receive insights into job fit, relevant competencies, strengths, development areas, and predicted performance. HireVue currently offers more than 40 job-specific Virtual Job Tryouts across industries and roles.

HireVue also emphasizes responsible and explainable AI in hiring. Its AI systems use proprietary models as well as generative AI and large language models with additional domain knowledge and guardrails. HireVue says its models are developed and tested with industrial-organizational psychologists and data scientists, while its AI and data are audited for potential bias.

The platform is primarily aimed at large enterprises and organizations conducting high-volume hiring. HireVue reports serving more than 1,150 customers globally, including more than 60% of the Fortune 100, and says its platform has supported more than 70 million video interviews and 200 million chat-based candidate engagements.
