Neko Health AI is an AI-assisted preventive healthcare platform that combines proprietary scanning technology, medical imaging, blood analysis, real-time data science, and clinician-led care to detect potential health risks earlier. Neko’s system captures millions of health data points across the skin, heart, blood, circulation, and body composition during a single visit.

The Neko Health Scan uses AI to analyze large amounts of health data collected through Neko’s proprietary devices. Its 3D scanner captures thousands of images of the body and can map skin features such as moles, while cardiovascular sensors and clinical blood analysis provide additional measurements.

Neko’s AI-assisted skin analysis can map moles and monitor changes over time. The company’s scanning technology creates a detailed digital record of the skin, allowing changes in the shape and size of moles to be identified between scans.

The platform also uses AI and machine learning to help clinicians interpret health information. Neko emphasizes that its consultations remain doctor-led: AI assists with analysis, while medical professionals review findings, explain results, and make clinical decisions.

Neko Scribe is another AI capability used within Neko’s clinical operations. It uses AI dictation technology to convert spoken consultations into text and assist clinicians with medical documentation. Neko states that clinicians review the resulting information and that Neko Scribe does not make medical decisions.

Neko also uses large language models to generate patient-facing consultation summaries. These summaries can combine information from consultations and health assessments and are reviewed by healthcare professionals using independent clinical judgment.

The Neko Health Scan is designed as a comprehensive preventive-health assessment rather than a conventional single-condition test. The current scan combines skin and tissue imaging, cardiovascular assessment, biometric measurements, blood biomarkers, and body-composition analysis, with results processed on-site and reviewed with a clinician.

Neko Health was founded in 2018 by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek. The company launched publicly in 2023 after four years of research and product development. In July 2026, Neko announced a $700 million Series C, bringing significant additional funding ahead of its US expansion.

Neko currently reports more than 100,000 people having experienced its service and more than 350,000 people having joined its waitlist or registered for a scan. Its US website says the company is arriving in New York in 2026.
