Udio supports multiple music-creation workflows, including text-to-music generation, remixing, extending songs, audio uploads, Styles, Sessions, and voice-related features. Users can generate two song variations from a prompt and continue developing their preferred version by extending or editing it. The platform supports both short 32-second generations and longer approximately two-minute creations.

The platform also provides a community-oriented music discovery experience, allowing users to search songs, explore genres and tags, follow creators, create playlists, and share generated music through Udio links. Its creation tools are intended to make sophisticated music production accessible without requiring traditional music-production software or advanced technical skills.

Udio has continued developing its platform through features such as Voices, Sessions, Styles, and the Allegro v1.5 model. As part of its current transition, Udio has temporarily disabled downloading of audio, video, and stems while continuing to provide online creation and sharing capabilities.
