Moveworks

Moveworks is an enterprise AI Assistant platform that helps employees search for information and take action across business applications through a single conversational interface. The platform combines enterprise search, agentic AI, workflow automation, and integrations so employees can complete tasks without manually navigating multiple systems. It supports workflows across IT, HR, Finance, Sales, Procurement, and other business functions.

The Moveworks AI Assistant uses an Agentic Reasoning Engine to understand an employee’s intent, find relevant information, select appropriate tools, and execute multi-step actions. Employees can interact with the assistant through surfaces such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and the web, while administrators receive controls and analytics for managing the enterprise AI experience.

Enterprise search is a major component of Moveworks, allowing organizations to connect information spread across systems such as Google Drive, SharePoint, OneDrive, Confluence, Outlook, Slack, and many other business applications. The platform can then combine search with action, enabling employees to not only find information but also complete tasks such as resolving IT issues, requesting access, managing HR processes, updating CRM information, and handling finance-related requests.

Moveworks also provides tools for organizations to build specialized AI assistants and agents. Its developer platform includes Agent Studio, plugins, APIs, an AI Agent Marketplace, and integrations with enterprise systems including ServiceNow, Jira, Workday, and Salesforce. Organizations can create specialized assistants for particular departments or workflows while maintaining centralized governance and security controls.

Moveworks was founded in 2016 by Bhavin Shah, Vaibhav N., Varun Singh, and Jiang Chen. In December 2025, ServiceNow completed its acquisition of Moveworks, combining Moveworks’ conversational AI, enterprise search, and Reasoning Engine with ServiceNow’s agentic AI and workflow capabilities. In February 2026, ServiceNow announced EmployeeWorks, combining Moveworks technology with ServiceNow’s unified portal and autonomous workflows.
